Hotel Las Guartos is a gem, with friendly staff, a nice pool, and a beautiful rooftop view. The buffet breakfast, especially the pancakes, is a treat, and dinner offers excellent seafood. If you're lucky, you might even catch birds drinking from the pool—a charming touch! While there’s no elevator, the three floors are manageable. A wonderful stay overall!
This is the best hotel in Rio Lagartos. Still a lot to improve but is nicely attended. Some small restaurants and bars but keep in mind this is a fishermen port. Of course you can find good seafood.
The rooms are amazing and the attention is excellent. I’ve been travelling through the Yucatan peninsula for a while and this the best place I’ve been by far. Congratulations to the staff which made me feel at home. I’ll come back soon.
Quirky and charming hotel with heart and stunning sunset views! Right on the edge of the lagoon, couldn’t be a better location with kind staff and good food and rooms. Clean and good WiFi too. Thank you
Room good for value, service excellent complimentary breakfast quiet good only one choice but OK. Only a small town so hotel is quiet good as you can do various tours locally. Some of the local cafes excellent.
This was a really nice hotel for the area. The room was much better than I expected and everything was very clean inside. I was very comfortable when I came back to it each day after being out in the heat of the summer. The staff were attentive and polite. The hamburgesa de cameron I had when I arrived hungry was really good. If I come back to Rio Lagartos again, I will definitely book here.
The staff is fantastic. They have been some of the most friendly and helpful people we have met on our trip. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, and the air-conditioning is cold. We have a great view of the water.
Very nice hotel - don’t be discouraged by the slightly worn down outside, inside it is beautiful, clean and well-kept. The rooms are nice, the shower is awesome, and the pool and private pier is great. The vibe is slightly minimalist, especially compared to the building, but I really quite like that. The food and cocktails are super, and the staff is really friendly. Highly recommend.
